Kızılay Kan App.
A mobile experience connecting blood donation and collective action
We redesigned Kızılay’s existing blood-donation app as its functionality expanded. Appointments, donation tracking, information, teams and points share one design language. We worked with the Kızılay team on design; its own team handled software development.

Need.
The redesign required more than changing the appearance of screens. The existing appointment-booking and donation-information structure needed to be reconsidered alongside new functions.
Our goal was to connect preparation, appointment booking and post-donation engagement in one clear experience.

The donor’s next steps at a glance. The home screen, appointments and team area connect personal donation journeys with collective action.

Clear from the first step. Welcome and introduction screens explain the app’s features through short messages and visuals.
Design approach.
We rebuilt the experience around donors’ needs. Personal details, donation summaries and upcoming appointments come together on the home screen, with distinct areas for guides, teams and points.
A visual language based on Kızılay red uses information cards and consistent layouts to distinguish content. We aimed to make guidance easier to scan and task flows easier to follow.

An experience that makes room for information. The guide covers blood, stem-cell, immune-plasma and apheresis donation, giving users a place to learn about donation types.

From earning points to redeeming them. Points summaries, gift details and confirmation screens explain the redemption process step by step.
The work.
We refreshed the existing screens and expanded the mobile experience with new functions. Alongside appointments and donation tracking, information, team creation and points became parts of the same product.
Working with Kızılay’s software team, we produced a comprehensive design that addresses different user needs through one interface language.
Collaboration & scope.
Pars Design was responsible for Kızılay Kan App’s information architecture, UX and UI design. We worked with ID3, which provided the technical infrastructure and software development.
