Tech İstanbul Web Platform.
Designing and developing the first platform connecting İstanbul’s challenges with technology ventures.
We worked with YGA on Tech İstanbul’s founding web experience, from explaining the platform to a multi-stage startup application. YGA developed the initiative and presented it to İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi.

Need.
Developed by YGA and presented to İBB, Tech İstanbul was moving from idea to launch as a platform connecting technology startups with institutions seeking solutions to urban challenges. It needed a coherent experience explaining its purpose, transport, environment and energy themes, and guiding suitable ventures to apply.
The site had to do more than support launch. Entrepreneurs needed to understand the programme, assess suitability, create an account, complete a detailed application and track the process from their profile.

How to apply

Who is it for?
Design approach.
The journey follows four stages: discover, assess suitability, apply and complete. Recognisable İstanbul imagery supports a homepage hierarchy clearly presenting purpose, themes and the application invitation.
‘How to apply’ and ‘Who is it for?’ explain the programme plainly. We divided the detailed form into venture, solution and team information, using progress indicators and save-and-resume to make it manageable.
Blue and turquoise from the original identity carry into the interface. İstanbul photographs, simple line illustrations, rounded components and vivid actions combine public credibility with startup energy. We adapted the experience for desktop and mobile and completed the front end alongside design.

The work.
The platform brings early-stage communications, guidance and applications into one system. Startups can explore the programme and themes, assess fit, register, complete staged applications and manage profiles.
This work documents Tech İstanbul’s first digital experience. The current website and later design system are outside this project’s scope.
