Beyaz Art.

When the interface steps back, the art comes forward.

We redesigned Beyaz Art’s ageing website around artworks and artists. A quiet visual system brought auctions, works, news and the archive into focus.

Need.

The existing site had become dated visually and structurally. Auctions, artworks, artists, news and press archives lacked clear hierarchy, while the interface competed with the art it was meant to present.

The new experience needed to modernise the institution while respecting the art. Visitors should be able to discover current auctions, examine works and reach past content easily, with the interface providing a quiet frame.

Design approach.

We worked closely with GOM. We first simplified the content structure and established clear routes between the home page, news, auctions, artwork lists, press room and contact section.

One striking artwork became the home-page focus, supported by orderly news and announcement cards. Auction pages presented works and artist names with generous space, restrained typography and a simple grid.

News pages paired a large image with the main story and kept other articles accessible in a side column. Press cuttings and releases became a simple, scannable archive.

Limited colour, quiet typography and unobtrusive components let the artworks’ own colours and variety give the website its character.

The work.

The result was a clear, contemporary website for Beyaz Art’s auctions and art content. The interface became a display surface that brought works, artists and the institution’s history into view.

The project came through GOM and was carried out closely with its team. Pars Design handled information architecture, UX and interface design.
