Pette.
A safe, interactive video world for children across screens.
Developed for PTT, Pette offered selected videos for children aged 8–12. We connected its website, iOS and Android apps, TV experience, parent area and content panel as one product. An interactive structure let children influence stories through their choices rather than only watch.

Need.
Pette aimed to let children discover age-appropriate, selected videos in a safe environment. Parents also needed to follow viewing habits and achievements, content teams needed to manage an extensive archive, and the experience had to work on computers, phones, tablets and televisions.
Different devices, roles and content types made this a connected digital product, not simply a website.
Design approach.
We organised children’s experience around categories, discovery, personal lists and playback. Large imagery, colourful headings and recognisable categories prioritise visual choices over complex menus, shortening the route to a video.
Web, mobile and TV share product logic but use interactions suited to each screen. Web focuses on content breadth and parent management; mobile on touch, discovery and personal tracking; TV on remote-control navigation, large focus areas and on-screen search.

Two experiences for children and parents.
Children could browse categories, save videos, access episode lists and earn viewing points. A colourful, animated language sits on a simple structure that remains easy to read.
The parent area reports total viewing time, popular categories and history. It provides a separate layer of oversight while giving children room to explore.

Interactive videos shaped by choices.
A distinctive part of the project was the panel for interactive videos with multiple endings. Editors could add questions and choices at specific moments, linking each answer to another video segment or story path.
When a child selected an option, the story continued accordingly. We designed and developed a visual panel that lets editors build these branching narratives without developer intervention, turning linear viewing into participatory storytelling.

Beyond design: the complete product infrastructure.
Pars Design handled product architecture, information structure and UX/UI across all front ends. We developed the web front end and back end, CMS, parent area and interactive-video panel. We designed the mobile and TV front ends and coordinated integration with the partner developing their infrastructure.
We worked simultaneously with video production, mobile infrastructure, PTT and other partners to bring multiple disciplines into one product experience.

The work.
The platform lets children discover selected videos across web, mobile and TV, parents follow viewing habits, and editors create interactive stories. Pette was published on web, iOS and Android for a period.
The project demonstrates our experience in delivering a complete digital product with multiple stakeholders, from content models and user roles to administration and software, beyond interface design alone.
