Book an Apartment.
A complete digital experience for short-term stays.
Book an Apartment was an early digital venture offering daily, weekly and monthly apartment stays in Istanbul, before short-term rentals became widespread in Turkey. We designed the journey from search and discovery to apartment details, host contact and booking requests within one product.

Need.
The initial model offered short stays in apartments rented long-term, mainly around Taksim. It later expanded from the operator’s own portfolio into a marketplace where other hosts could list properties.
That change required a shared product structure where guests could find and compare places and request bookings, while hosts managed listings and communications.

Design approach.
We helped clarify the business idea, which the client brought from similar models abroad, and mapped the full journey. Quick search, map-based results, filters, apartment details, dates, prices and host messaging became connected steps in the decision process.
Search results showed location, price and apartment options together. Detail pages prioritised photography, descriptions and host information. The user dashboard, notifications and inbox brought pre- and post-booking communications into one place.

From a business model to a marketplace.
As the product opened to third-party hosts, the design evolved into a flexible structure that supported listings, profiles, messaging and user management.
The project was an early, comprehensive example of a two-sided experience as short-term accommodation was taking shape as a digital service and marketplace in Turkey.

For hosts
The work.
The product let guests discover accommodation, narrow choices with maps and filters, examine apartments, contact hosts and request bookings in one experience.
Completed before Pars Design was founded, this project anticipated our current approach: understand the business model, turn a complex service into a clear journey and build an interface system that can accommodate growth. Pars Kunt handled design; the software was developed by the project partner at the time.
