İstanbul Auto Show 2012 Official Website.

An auto show to participate in online, not just watch.

We designed the official İstanbul Auto Show 2012 website, connecting vehicle and brand presentations, daily schedules, live streams and prize quizzes. Real-time participation in broadcasts and competitions made it an unusually interactive event experience for its time.

Need.

İstanbul Auto Show brought automotive brands, new models and industry developments to a broad audience. A digital experience was needed to extend beyond the venue and include those unable to attend.

The site had to showcase vehicles, make schedules easy to follow, provide live streams and invite quiz participation. Connecting formats through one visual system and clear navigation was the central challenge.

The event’s digital hub.

The homepage uses strong vehicle photography as a dynamic hub for featured cars and brands. Presentations including Golf and Beetle connect with galleries, schedules, live streams and competitions.

An hourly programme makes broadcasts and events easy to follow. Expanding selection panels and layered navigation provide access to rich content without weakening the main visual experience.

Daily programme: schedule of live broadcasts and events by time.

Daily programme

Interactive participation in live broadcasts.

The live stream was not just a video to watch. Users could participate online in real time, answer quiz questions and compete for prizes.

This creates a two-way connection between the venue and remote visitors. The website becomes an active participation platform rather than simply a broadcast channel.

Quiz

A visual approach that stands the test of time.

A dark, cinematic interface centres automotive photography and the event’s energy. Large imagery, controlled typography, contrast and layered panels connect product storytelling with the live atmosphere.

Avoiding unnecessary elements keeps the design feeling lively and current despite its age. Within the period’s technical limits, it balances event coverage, products and interaction on one digital stage.

Live broadcast: video experience where users can watch and interact.

Live streaming

Expandable selection panel: navigation to content and vehicle sections without leaving the main experience.

Outcome.

The official İstanbul Auto Show 2012 website brought vehicles, brands, schedules, live broadcasts and gamified participation together in an early interactive event experience. Remote visitors could participate in the show rather than only watch it.
