Sabancı Üniversitesi.
A university’s character, clear within extensive content.
We designed a web experience connecting Sabancı Üniversitesi’s institutional approach, academic structure and current life. Clear navigation organises extensive content, while strong imagery and an interface ahead of its time express the university’s contemporary character.

Need.
The site needed to serve different visitors with content spanning philosophy, academics, campus life, news and announcements. Completeness alone was not enough: information needed a clear structure so users could find it easily.
The experience also needed to reflect the university’s forward-looking outlook without resembling a conventional corporate website.
Design approach.
We reorganised the architecture around user needs and content types. Persistent left-hand navigation keeps visitors oriented and makes possible next routes clear despite the breadth of content.
The homepage combines large campus-life images with core entry points. Text pages, link lists, news and announcements accommodate different information densities within the same system.
The project came through Sibername, our partner with high expectations for design quality. We did not work directly with the university. We refined the designs with Sibername through many alternatives and detailed review rounds.

The work.
The result presents extensive institutional information clearly while retaining Sabancı Üniversitesi’s character. Left navigation, broad campus imagery and content-specific pages distinguished it from typical university websites of its time.
The design was implemented and served as the university’s website in that period. It does not represent the current Sabancı Üniversitesi site, but remains one of Pars Design’s early information-architecture and corporate-web projects.
