CEVA Mobile Shipment Tracking App.
Complex shipment information, in a few mobile steps.
We designed and developed CEVA’s shipment-tracking app so business users could reach essential information while in the field. Searches using different reference numbers, delivery status and operational details came together in a clear small-screen flow.
Launch, sign-in and order lookup
Need.
Making dense logistics information readable in the field.
Shipment information can be scattered across reference numbers, parties, dates and statuses. Data that works in a desktop system becomes slow and tiring to use when shown unchanged on mobile.
CEVA’s business users needed to search using an ATF, dispatch, delivery or order number and understand the current shipment status without further explanation.
Design approach.
Few screens, clear hierarchy, one main task.
We centred the app on its most frequent task. Search fields came together on one starting screen, while results separated sender and recipient details, departure and arrival dates and delivery status into clear blocks.
Colour and icons supported status information at a glance. We retained CEVA’s brand colours and replaced dense logistics tables with more open, mobile-friendly cards.
Users could enter a reference, find the shipment and see its stage in a short flow. The design focused on completing one task in the right order with minimal friction.
Design and development.
From interface to working product.
Pars Design handled information architecture, user flows and interface design. We worked with In The Box and developed the software together. Shared design and development decisions turned the interface into a working product for CEVA’s corporate users.
Search results and shipment updates
Outcome.
The compact tracking app simplified corporate logistics information and connected search and results in a clear mobile journey. A small number of screens gave business users more direct access to information in the field.
